Materials: 1 ball RYC's Cashsoft DK in 00519 Black, 1 ball in 00518 Thunder and 1 ball RYC's Cashsoft Baby DK 00800 Snowman. Choose colors to match your team, we used Chicago White Sox.
Gauge: 5 1/2 sts = 1" and 7 rows = 1"
Needle: #6 US needle or size to obtain gauge, 16" circular and double point needles
Sizes: 18" (19", 20", 21", 22", 23") Hat is very stretchy.
To Make Hat:
Cast on 96 (102, 108, 114, 120, 126) stitches in Thunder Gray. Join and work in * P1, K1 * ribbing for 3 rounds. Switch to Snowman and work 2 more rounds in * P1, K1 * ribbing.

Next Round: Swtich back to Thunder and purl all sts.
Next Round: Change to main pattern * P1, K15 (K16, K17, K18, K19, K21), repeat from * to end of round.
Work 6 more rows in this pattern in Thunder.
Next Round: Swtich to Black and purl all sts.
Next Round: Continue in Black and resume main pattern * P1, K15 (K16, K17, K18, K19, K21), repeat from * to end of round.
When Hat measures 6” (6”, 6 1/2”, 6 1/2”, 6 1/2”, 7”) overall, start decreasing for crown of hat.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K11 (K12, K13, K14, K15, K17), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
Work 2 rounds even.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K9 (K10, K11, K12, K13, K15), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
Work 2 rounds even.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K7 (K8, K9, K10, K11, K13), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
Work 2 rounds even.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K5 (K6, K7, K8, K9, K11), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
Work 2 rounds even.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K3 (K4, K5, K6, K7, K9), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.

Hats in Sizes 18”, 19” and 20” ONLY - Break yarn. Weave tail through remaining stitches. Weave in all ends.
Hats in Sizes 21”, 22” and 23” ONLY
Work 2 rounds even.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K- (K-, K-, K2, K3, K5), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
Hat in Size 21” ONLY - Break yarn. Weave tail through remaining stitches. Weave in all ends.
Hats in Sizes 22” and 23” ONLY Work 2 rounds even.
Next Round: *P1, SSK, K-(K-, K-, K-, K1, K3), K2tog, repeat from * to end of round. Break yarn. Weave tail through remaining stitches. Weave in all ends. Turn Hat right side out. Sew Snowman alonge sides of Knit rib to make pinstripe.

Note: Hat is worked inside out. The outside of the finished hat will be reverse stockinette (purl side out) with a single knit stitch rib. The hat is worked this way to avoid purling the whole hat.
