Knitting 101
For absolute beginners. How to Cast on, Knit, Purl, and Bind off the stitches. The first few classes are just about practice. Once the basics are under your belt, pick a scarf pattern, a blanket pattern, pick a hat pattern and get going. |

Planning to make your holiday gifts? July is the time to get started. Honest to Pete, I've been doing this for eight years, plus I worked at a sewing machine distributor where the sewers wanted to make all their holiday gifts. Start in July, work at an even pace, make two or three different things to keep yourself interested. We'll help you select projects, explore any new techinques and finishing tips to smooth out the process. |

The Lunch Bag
Making bags, be they lunch, shopping or bottle sized, is a fairly straight forward process. Answer a few questions to customize your bag and away we go. This is a mixed class, crocheters and knitters. Crochet the bag, knit the bag, or crochet and knit together. The results are fabulous. |

Knit 304, Mittens, Mittens, Mittens
Mittens are fun, fast and great for giving or keeping here in the Windy City. Class will make a basic pair of mittens, learn about ambidextrous mittens for kids, and how to put a little pocket in them for cash, keys, CTA card or whatever. |
